⚠️ Conducted by a licensed pest control team contracted by Ogunye Zone. Targets mosquitoes, cockroaches, rodents, and other pests. Chemicals are approved for residential use but require precautions.

What to Expect

Areas covered: Open spaces, drains, refuse points, perimeter walls, stairwells, and common areas. Some units may receive perimeter spraying on request.
Method: Low-volume mist spraying and targeted gel/granule application. You may notice a mild odor during the exercise.
Odor duration: Usually dissipates within 2–4 hours after ventilation.

✅ Preparation Checklist – Complete by 8:45 AM

Store all food, drinking water, baby bottles, and utensils in airtight containers or closed cabinets/fridges.
Cover fish tanks, bird cages, and remove pets, plants, and children's toys from balconies and verandas.
Close all windows, doors, and air vents. Turn off AC units and exhaust fans.
Keep all pets indoors or arrange temporary relocation. Cover pet food and water bowls.
Residents with asthma, COPD, allergies, or pregnancy — stay in an interior room or arrange to be out of the zone during 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

🚫 Safety Rules During Exercise

No outdoor activity between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Keep children and elderly indoors.
Avoid contact with sprayed walls, floors, and vegetation until dry.
Do not wipe or wash sprayed surfaces for at least 4 hours.
Report dizziness, nausea, eye irritation, or breathing difficulty to the estate office immediately.

🌞 After the Exercise – 2:00 PM Onward

Ventilate: Open all windows and doors for 30–60 minutes. Run fans if available.
Clean surfaces: Wipe kitchen counters, dining tables, and children's play areas with soap and water before use.
Dead pests: Wear gloves and dispose in sealed bags.
Pets: Ensure pets don't lick treated surfaces for at least 6 hours.

💊 Chemicals & First Aid

Active ingredients: Pyrethroid-based insecticide + rodenticide gels. Low toxicity to humans at applied concentrations.

👐 Skin exposure: Wash with soap and water.

👀 Eye exposure: Rinse with clean water for 15 minutes.

🧠 Ingestion/Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.
